QUESTIONS
Common Questions Before You Apply
Not for Crew Member roles — we hire for attitude and dependability, then train you on the equipment and the craft during a paid training week with a foreman who actually teaches. Foreman and Snow Operator roles look for relevant experience; see each role’s requirements above.
April through October runs Monday-Friday with a 7am start, plus overtime during install peaks in May-July and September. November through March shifts to snow operations — on-call nights and weekends during storms, with downtime in between. We aim for a real 40-50 hour week year-round, not 80 hours in June and nothing in November.
Crew roles are hourly, paid weekly by direct deposit, with pay depending on prior experience — we discuss specifics on the phone screen and put a number in writing before any offer. Overtime kicks in past 40 hours and during snow storms. Foreman roles move to salary plus a quarterly bonus once established.
No layoffs. Winter means snow operations: plowing, salting, and removal, dispatched from November through April. Crew members often pull strong winter income through storm overtime, and if snow ops aren’t your thing, we sometimes shift crew to indoor maintenance, equipment work, or training.
Year-round paychecks, paid time off after one year of full-time service, certification reimbursement for things like CDL or irrigation training, uniforms and PPE provided, a paid training week, and clear quarterly check-ins on pay.
